Tapping into Sustainable Land Management resource portal to enhance Extension

Digitalisation of Agricultural Extension and Advisory Service in Africa is a new trend supported by the AFAAS since the year 2020. The adoption and promotion of digital tools and platforms has not only been mandatory because of the COVID-19, but also because AFAAS intends to be more effective and efficient in reaching and empowering a large number of extension workers and farmers across Africa.
In 2021, AFAAS has signed an MoU with the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) who has built and maintained an online platform containing a wealthy database of Sustainable Land Management knowledges, practices and tools.

In October 2021, a webinar was jointly organized by AFAAS and WOCAT to tap into WOCAT resource portal to empower AFAAS network.
