

about THE AGRA PROJECT
The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) is committed to transforming Africa’s agriculture sector through sustainable, inclusive, and scalable solutions. As part of its efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural extension and advisory services (AEAS), AGRA, in partnership with the African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (AFAAS), is implementing initiatives aimed at strengthening extension systems, digitization, and private sector engagement in five African countries, namely Nigeria, Malawi. Rwanda, Uganda and Rwanda. The Project seeks to contribute to: Increased farmer adoption of climate-resilient and sustainable farming practices, especially among women/youth; and Strengthened access to extension and sustainable farming inputs, services, technologies and practices.
OBJECTIVES
To digitilize farming-system-specific, inclusive extension content that would be cascaded down to address productivity challenges of major value chains and flagship programs.
To create an enabling environment for adoption of private sector extension models and last mile delivery of services by government and other institutions.
