Côte d'Ivoire formalizes its Country Forum

Champions of Forum for Agricultural and Rural Advisory of Côte d'Ivoire

Representatives of Agricultural Advisory Services of Côte d'Ivoire met in Abidjan on March 30, 2019 during the constitutive General Assembly of the Forum for Agricultural and Rural Advisory of Côte d'Ivoire (FOCAR-CI). At the end of the Assembly that brought together 22 founder members, rules, procedure and statutes of the new multi-stakeholders platform were adopted. A Steering Committee that will lead FOCAR-CI has 13 members, chosen from different sectors. This Committee, chaired by ANADER, will be responsible for the following:

The Eastern Africa Field Schools Support Hub officially launched

The Eastern Africa Field Schools Support Hub has officially been launched in Entebbe, Uganda. The colorful event was held at the Entebbe Botanical Beach Hotel on 30th May 2018.

The launch was attended by key Field Schools delegates including Permanent Secretaries, Director Generals, Directors of Extension, International Agencies/ Institutions, Academia, Farmer representatives and members of the Private Sector from Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania.

Le Forum Mondial pour les Services de Conseil rural (GFRAS) a organisé, en collaboration avec le Forum Africain pour les Services de Conseil Agricoles (AFAAS), un atelier international consultatif pour examiner, compléter et valider un projet conjoint sur le thème «Fournir des services de vulgarisation aux agriculteurs : améliorer l'accès des petits exploitants à l'innovation et à des services de vulgarisation pluralistes axés sur la demande ».

South Sudan country forum inaugurated in Juba

The inauguration of the South Sudan Forum for Agricultural Advisory Service (SoSFAAS) was done during the Extension Day held on the 15th of June 2016 in Juba.   

Honorable James Janka Duku, the Minister of Livestock and Fisheries along with the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to South Sudan and the FAO Country Representative supported by top ministry officials from Ministry of Agriculture and Food security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs also took part in the  inauguration activity.
